Yes, you can attend alone, with a friend or as part of a group. Around 80% of students attend alone.
During the week, you will be paired with another student. One of you acts as the surgeon, while the other is the anaesthetist. For the next procedure, you switch roles.
We work with a maximum of four students per week, ensuring that everyone receives personal guidance and sufficient surgical experience.
Most participants are female (around 95%), and about half are still in veterinary school while the other half are already qualified veterinarians.
No prior surgical experience is required.
However, if you are still in veterinary school, you must be in your clinical years.
Many students join with little to no hands-on experience, and the course is designed to help you build skills and confidence step by step.
Yes, we offer dedicated bitches-only weeks for experienced veterinarians who want to improve their skills and confidence in dog spays. Please contact us for more details and dates.
Most students book a course of one or two weeks, but longer stays are possible.
After one week, most participants have gained enough confidence to perform:
cat spays and neuters independently
dog neuters independently
dog (bitch) spays under supervision
After two weeks, most participants are able to perform dog (bitch) spays independently.
Yes, courses run throughout the entire year.
Please note that summer months are usually busier and tend to be fully booked earlier, so we recommend booking in advance.
We usually start at 09:30 and finish around 17:00, depending on the number of patients.
There is a lunch break around 13:00.

You will receive a booking form. Your place is confirmed once we have received:
the completed booking form
the deposit
The deposit is refundable if cancellation is made more than 8 weeks before arrival
Accommodation is included in the course price.
You will stay in a 3-bedroom apartment shared with a maximum of four students. The apartment is located in a small town with all essential facilities within walking distance.
Most students choose to stay in the provided accommodation, but if you prefer more privacy, we can recommend local B&Bs or other options nearby.
There are several options:
public transport
taxi or Uber
private transfer service
We can arrange a transfer with a trusted driver if needed. You will receive all travel details 4–6 weeks before arrival.
